This election is taxing me. Watching the convention and watching my Lord’s name being taken in vain is making me sick
This peace of scripture comes to mind. It comes from Romans 2
23 You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? 24 As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles.
Just look at how His Holy name is being misused. This from Pastor Mark Burns said this in his highly partisan prayer
“And you know why? Because we are electing a man in Donald rump who believes in the name of Jesus Christ. And Republicans, we got to be united because our enemy is not other Republicans — but is Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.”
we do not hate our enemies we love them Matthew 5:43-47.
And does it not sound like he is praying for a savior not a presidential candidate. I have no doubt that Trump believes in the name of Jesus Christ. Even demons do and they shudder. James 2:19
I have no doubt that he believes in the name of Jesus Christ. Many atheists who believe that Jesus was a teacher only do believe in the name of Jesus Christ. Heck everyone can believe that Jesus Christ is a name. He just doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ. If you truly believe in Jesus Christ you love Jesus Christ. And if you love Jesus Christ. You follow Jesus Christ. John 14:23-25
